Questions about Brooks County criminal records must go to the office that created or maintains the file. This private site cannot receive a public information request or issue a certified record. The contacts below route court documents to the combined clerk, arrest and jail material to the sheriff, city reports to Falfurrias Police, and statewide criminal history to Texas DPS.

This Is Not a Government Office. Brooks County Criminal History is privately operated. It cannot retrieve or correct a record, conduct an official check, or accept an expunction filing. Contact the proper government custodian directly.

Need an Official Record?

Use the office tied to the specific Brooks County record:

  • Felony and county case files: District and County Clerk, 100 E. Miller St., Falfurrias, 361-325-5604 ext. 4, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; books close at 4:30 p.m. and the counter closes for lunch
  • Felony and open court requests: email districtclerk@co.brooks.tx.us; the District Clerk does not accept fax filings
  • Arrest, booking, jail, and sheriff reports: Brooks County Sheriff, 701 E. Rice St., P.O. Box 558, Falfurrias, TX 78355, 361-325-3696, fax 361-325-1743
  • Current jail custody: Brooks County Jail, 801 CR 201, Falfurrias, through 361-325-3696 ext. 503
  • Falfurrias incident or arrest reports: Falfurrias Police Department, 203 E. Allen St., 361-325-5041; police service is available around the clock, but records-counter hours were not published
  • Statewide history and fingerprint review: Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division; FAST appointments use IdentoGO or 888-467-2080

The sheriff has not published a separate records-division counter, request form, fixed copy fee, or records email. Call Brooks County Sheriff at 361-325-3696 before visiting 701 E. Rice Street, and request a cost estimate when copies are needed.
